Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park
Hawai‘i Pacific Parks Association (HPPA) offers materials that are an extension of the National Park Service (NPS) interpretive, educational, and research programs, and connects people to Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park in a way that will encourage lifelong learning and enable a deeper connection to
the park. The park’s purpose is to preserve, protect and interpret the significant archeological sites associated with Pu‘uhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park; to interpret the cultural values, traditions, and human story associated with Pu‘uhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park; to provide an understanding of, and inspiration for, the Hawaiian cultural values associated with these sites; to provide a place where native Hawaiians cultural traditions are practiced.
